We are looking for a Senior Project Manager – Coatings to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis at Hinkley Point C.

Operating at a senior level within the project delivery team, you will provide leadership and oversight across allocated coatings packages and associated Project Managers, ensuring programme objectives, operational requirements and client expectations are successfully achieved.

As a senior KAEFER representative, you will be responsible for setting delivery priorities and performance expectations across multiple workstreams, coordinating resources, monitoring package performance and providing effective governance to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme, within commercial parameters and to the required quality standards.

You will work closely with the client planning team, Project Managers, operational leadership, commercial teams and support functions to anticipate project requirements, resolve delivery challenges and ensure resources are deployed effectively. A key part of the role will be developing and mentoring the project management team, driving consistent standards and providing senior-level intervention and escalation where required.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Provide senior leadership across multiple coatings work packages, ensuring delivery against safety, quality, programme, commercial and operational objectives.
  • Set project objectives, performance standards and key milestones in line with client programme requirements.
  • Coordinate labour, supervision, materials and resources to support effective programme delivery.
  • Provide direction and oversight to Project Managers, ensuring accountability and consistent performance across packages.
  • Maintain clear communication with Project Managers, operational teams, clients and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor project performance, identifying risks, delays, disruption and resource issues, and ensure corrective action is taken.
  • Ensure Project Managers maintain accurate and timely reporting on progress, completions, productivity, delays and change events.
  • Review performance data, challenge underperformance and support recovery plans where required.
  • Act as a senior point of contact for clients and stakeholders, supporting the resolution of operational and delivery issues.
  • Coach and mentor Project Managers and wider project teams, supporting performance and development.
  • Support the escalation and resolution of employee relations, team and project issues in conjunction with HR.
  • Maintain oversight of commercial performance, including forecasting, cost control, valuations, change and risk.
  • Ensure project risks and opportunities are identified and effectively managed across multiple packages.
  • Promote best practice, consistency and continuous improvement across project delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, planning, resource utilisation and overall project performance.
  • Provide visible leadership and promote the highest standards of health, safety, environmental and quality performance.

What You Will Bring

  • Senior project, package or operational management experience within construction, energy, engineering or industrial services.
  • Experience overseeing multiple projects, packages or Project Managers.
  • Strong technical knowledge of coatings, surface preparation and relevant industry standards.
  • Strong programme planning, resource management and project controls experience.
  • Good commercial awareness, including forecasting, cost control, change management and risk.
  • Proven ability to monitor performance, manage delivery risks and implement recovery actions.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience coaching and developing Project Managers and operational teams.
  • Confident stakeholder management, with the ability to influence clients, contractors and internal teams.
  • Good knowledge of project management principles, governance and risk management.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement; knowledge of LEAN principles is advantageous.
  • Strong communication, organisational and decision-making skills.
  • Commitment to high standards of health, safety, environmental and quality performance.
