We are looking for Access Lead Supervisors to join our team in Devonport on a permanent basis. Responsible for leading and managing the scaffolding supervision team, ensuring all scaffolding activities are planned, coordinated, and delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with KAEFER operating procedures, client requirements, and statutory regulations, while maintaining quality standards, optimising resources, and supporting the successful delivery of projects and operational objectives

How You Will Make An Impact

• Lead and manage the scaffolding supervision team to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of scaffolding operations.
• Ensure all scaffolding activities are carried out in accordance with KAEFER operating procedures, client requirements, and statutory regulations.
• Coordinate labour, materials, and equipment to meet operational priorities and maximise productivity.
• Monitor work progress, quality, and performance, implementing corrective actions where required.
• Promote and enforce a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance with HSE standards and the KAEFER Life Saving Rules.
• Conduct site inspections, investigate incidents, and implement corrective and preventative actions.
• Develop, mentor, and support supervisors and operatives to maintain competence and high performance.
• Act as the key operational liaison between management, supervisors, clients, and project stakeholders.
• Monitor workforce attendance, timekeeping, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and adherence to KAEFER Values across all scaffolding activities.

What You Will Bring

• Excellent communication and strong IT skills (Microsoft Office package)
• Strategic thinker and negotiator and ability to exploit and negotiate opportunities to enhance service delivery
• Ability to prioritise, delegate and work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Effective time management (planning and organising) and ability to network and build relationships
• Proven problem solving and analytical skills and ability to manage change and work collaboratively with others to produce innovative solutions
• Ability to develop, implement and embed policy and procedure
• Ability to motivate and train staff
• In-depth knowledge of scaffolding regulations, codes of practice, and statutory requirements (e.g. NASC TG20, SG4, and Work at Height Regulations)
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation relevant to scaffolding and temporary access
• Knowledge of Warship & Submarine platforms and Devonport Dockyard
• Experience of leadership and management including performance management, including appraisal writing, staff development and disciplinary procedures
• Experience of successfully developing and implementing projects
• Experience of workforce planning, forecasting and development
• Experience of working within industrial services sector and/or marine industry
• ILM - Leadership and Management Certification (or equivalent)
• Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check and security clearance
• Full UK Driving Licence and flexibility to work outside of contracted hours
