As Supply Chain Apprentice you will provide essential administrative and data support to the wider supply chain team and category leads. This entry-level role offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in supply chain operations, purchase order processing, and supplier communication within KAEFER UK&I
You will also assist with transforming PO requisitions into purchase orders, managing order confirmations, maintaining price list databases, and supporting invoice query resolution as well as working closely with site teams and stakeholders to help ensure timely deliveries and smooth supply chain processes, while adhering to KAEFER’s procedures, Delegation of Authority (DOA), and compliance standards.
As our Supply Chain Apprentice, KAEFER are happy to invest in your development and a requirement of this role would be for you to complete a qualification either in Business Admin Level 3 or CIPS L3.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Transform PO requisitions into Purchase Orders (POs) within the QuickBase system, validating that they are raised correctly and in line with the Delegation of Authority (DOA).
- Follow up on POs to help meet delivery deadlines and add order confirmations into the QuickBase system to keep records up to date.
- Liaise with site teams to inform them about any delivery issues and assist in resolving these.
- Send out Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to suppliers.
- Help resolve invoice queries to support smooth payment processes.
- Manage and maintain the database of price lists, gathering and updating price information as needed.
- Work closely with different teams across the business to build relationships, understand their requirements, and track upcoming projects.
- Support the wider supply chain team and category leads by assisting with tasks such as gathering price information and other administrative duties.
- Assist in ad hoc supply chain projects and process improvement initiatives as required
- Ensure all administrative activities comply with KAEFER procedures and standards
