We are looking for an experienced Document Control Administrator to join our Document Control Department on a full time basis at our Hinkley Point C site in Bridgwater. The main purpose of the role is to operate and maintain the project document control function for KAEFER UK & Ireland on the Hinkley Point C site. The Document Controller will ensure all technical, administrative and safety documentation is captured, indexed, issued, revised and archived in accordance with project procedures, nuclear quality requirements and client standards.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Support the management of project documentation, ensuring documents are accurately received, filed, distributed and archived in accordance with company and client procedures.
- Maintain document registers and controlled document lists, ensuring records are kept up to date and accurately tracked within the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
- Assist with document submissions to clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring documentation is issued in line with project requirements.
- Monitor document revisions and maintain version control records, ensuring amendments are correctly recorded and filed.
- Provide administrative support to project teams by retrieving, distributing and tracking project documentation as required.
- Prepare and format documentation using Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat to meet company and client standards.
- Generate routine reports on document status, outstanding actions and submission progress.
- Liaise with project teams, quality personnel and client representatives regarding document-related queries and requests.
- Support the archiving and retention of project documentation in accordance with company procedures.
- Assist with maintaining KPI records and monitoring document control activities against project requirements.
- Identify documentation discrepancies and escalate issues to senior document control personnel when required.
- Provide general administrative support to the Document Control team, including data entry, filing and record maintenance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by highlighting opportunities to improve document management processes and administrative efficiency.
What You Will Bring
- Experience in Adobe Pro formatting (Desirable)
- Computer literate, especially skilled in Microsoft Office & Adobe Acrobat (Essential)
- Ability to change priorities & deadlines with the demand of business or client need (Essential)
- Knowledge of various relevant industry standard Client documentation practices (Desirable)
- Experience of using an EDMS to submit documentation (Desirable)
- Experience in the control of documentation. 2+ years experience in a Document Control or role of similar nature (Essential)
- Strong communication skills with experience in engaging with Client (Desirable)
